Biggest Problem faced by front-end developers || This story will save you many days
If you are just starting frontend development or you are knowing the basics of frontend development, then I promise either you have already faced this issue or you will face it in near future, So I am just going to save you many days where you will be thinking
I don’t know anything, maybe I should quit
The problem is You know how to write Code, But you are not able to create a beautiful-looking website that motivates you to complete the website, so you end up just adding a few colors, text, and images and with a lot of self-doubts.
And now you end up wasting days thinking about what exactly the problem is and some might even quit development just because of this small issue.
What I did || Which you should not
I was following a course on udemy when a started development and when I faced this issue, after wasting many days just thinking about the problem I came up with a solution which is the worst solution
I started learning frontend development again from the very scratch like going back to HTML, Where I wasted so much time just seeing all those video lectures doing the same thing twice and thrice.
But hey I didn’t tell you exactly what’s the problem
When we are just starting we are not knowing the difference between the work of a Designer and a frontend developer, Not every Frontend developer is a great designer and every designer is also not a great developer.
If you just came up with an idea of making an E-commerce store for your friend you open your VScode, start coding without having any idea of what you are going to do, and after a few minutes, you have an awkward-looking page and a lot of self-doubts.
Then What’s the solution
You need to understand your Role as a frontend developer and it’s you can clone exactly any website you see or any design you see in front. The role of making the website beautiful is of the designer who is designing it.
So if you want to check whether even if you are a good frontend developer just start making a clone of any website that you find looks good.
Don’t make any website you have in your mind, Make websites you have in front of you
A great resource for frontend developers to check whether even if they are good at developing is Frontend mentor, They will provide everything you will need while coding the website like Designs, Images, color codes, etc.
Okay Got that, But what if I want to make something I have in my mind
One word answer is to Design it first, As it’s much easier to try, test and make changes in the design and make it look better than to directly test the design on the code. You will not able to complete the website this way.
You can design your website on Figma. If you are not knowing about it just spend 30 minutes learning it and then you can start designing as it’s an easy-to-learn and free platform to start your designing career.
If you are satisfied with the designs you have created, Now Double click your VScode and start Coding it :)
